The Market Meltdown
I am still in shock that in one week in 2008, the stock market fell more than 1000 points. I thought it would come back up in a few weeks, but it has stayed around the mid-8000 point level for months. I started to wonder in earlier December, that if people started to invest more in products, would the stocks go back up to a more secure level? What do you think the people and/or the government should do to bring the market back up?
WALLE Movie- My review
WALLE:
4-star movie out of 4 stars
Overview:
WALLE is about a lonely robot left behind on Earth when the human population was transported into space because of environmental problems on the world. When WALLE meets another robot, EVE, he enjoys the robot's company. WALLE then follows EVE back to the spaceship and together go through many adventures on the ship to get a plant EVE found to the captain. The plant means humans can go back to Earth and begin re-colonization, so it is very important to EVE. While the robots' duty is keeping them busy, they discover they are in love with each other and the adventure continues...
Opinion:
Overall, WALLE is a fantastic movie. The movie tells a love story between two robots, while its comedy kept me drawn to the movie. I had never known robots and humans could be so funny! The future setting I liked also too because it was more realistic then other science-fiction movies. In WALLE, it actually showed what could happen to the human race if they got careless towards the Earth. In other movies, it shows humans have a high advancement in technology and the Earth is clean. The difference caught my attention and I was fascinated that the world could be messy and humans are mindless in the future. I suggest seeing the movie if you have not yet done so, because it really is superb.

NFL Football: The Vikings
I can't believe the Vikings are going to the playoffs! It has been a while (for me) since I have seen the Vikings head to the playoffs. They secured a spot by a last second field goal in the 4th quarter, and won 20-19. After the game, I thought about how life could have been different for the Vikings fans and the players if they had not made that one field goal. Maybe the head coach would have gotten fired, or the Vikings may have had some very unhappy followers. There are so many possibilities! What do you think that could have happened if the Vikings lost?
